Planetary Hours: Hour of Rite

Hour of the Rite is a paid, offline companion for the Discovery Science library. It divides daylight and night at a city you choose into twelve equal day hours and twelve equal night hours, then names the planet of the hour you are in.

The seven planets follow the Chaldean order: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury, and the Moon. The first hour after sunrise uses that day's ruler: Sunday the Sun, Monday the Moon, Tuesday Mars, Wednesday Mercury, Thursday Jupiter, Friday Venus, and Saturday Saturn. The sequence continues through the rest of the day and the night.

Each planet shows one modern companion from this library. The link is a shelf map for these apps. It is not an ancient rule, and it does not mean a rite contacts a god.

Sun: Jesus Hour by Hour
Moon: Egyptian Gods
Mars: Greek Gods
Mercury: Enochian Calls
Jupiter: Angelarium
Venus: Greek Gods
Saturn: Egyptian Gods

Open the rite opens that app when it is installed. Otherwise it opens the Play Store page for the same package.

You pick a city from a built-in list: Los Angeles, New York, London, Rome, Cairo, Athens, Jerusalem, Mexico City, Tokyo, or Sydney. The choice is stored on the device only. The app does not ask for GPS. Sunrise and sunset are calculated on the device from that city's latitude and longitude, using a solar altitude of -0.833 degrees. Times are shown in the city's civil timezone.

Hour of the Rite has no account, no ads, and no analytics. It does not use the network. Nothing is collected, shared, or sold.

A modern hour guide for the Discovery Science library. It does not promise contact, prophecy, or healing.
