Description
Plant keeps your houseplants on a schedule that changes with the year, and asks you to check the soil rather than telling you to water on a timer.
WATERING ON A TIMER IS THE PROBLEM
More houseplants die of overwatering than of drought. Every other reminder app has one verb — watered — so the only way to answer its prompt is to water, whether the soil needs it or not.
This app asks you to check, and both honest answers are one tap:
• Watered it — the clock restarts from a full interval • Still damp, left it — the clock restarts from a third of one
That second answer is recorded, not skipped. The app remembers what you found and asks again sooner, instead of nagging you tomorrow or forgetting until next week.
TWO INTERVALS, BECAUSE A PLANT DRINKS LESS IN WINTER
Every plant gets a growing-season interval and a resting-season one — a week and a fortnight suit most houseplants — and the app switches between them on its own. One number is wrong for whichever half of the year it was not chosen for, which is why the usual advice among people who actually keep plants is to ignore their app from November.
IT KNOWS WHICH HEMISPHERE YOU ARE IN
Set it once. South of the equator the resting season runs from May to August, and an app that hardcodes a northern winter is not merely unhelpful there — it is exactly inverted, telling you to stop feeding in the middle of the growing season.
FEEDING STOPS IN WINTER, IT DOES NOT JUST SLOW DOWN
Fertiliser a resting plant cannot take up stays in the soil and burns the roots. So feeding pauses completely, and the app names the day it resumes rather than saying "in spring".
Feeding is off by default, because most houseplants in most homes are never fed and an app that schedules fertiliser nobody asked for is an app that nags.

WHAT IS NOT IN IT
No account. No sign-up. No sync. Your plants are on your phone and nowhere else, and everything except the ads works in airplane mode.
No camera and no plant identification. Identifying a plant from a photograph needs a server, an account and your camera, and it answers a question you only ask once — what to call it — while this app is about the question you ask every week.
No contacts, no location, and no exact alarm permission: soil does not dry out at a particular second.
Plant is free and supported by ads. There is one occasional full-screen ad, never while you are typing and never when you open the app, and you can switch ads off for a day by watching a video if you would rather.
Recent changes: The app is now called Plant Care on your home screen, the same name it has on Google Play.
Nothing else changes: your plants, their notes and your reminders are exactly where they were.
