PlayRec: Game Recorder Facecam

PlayRec is a game recorder with facecam for Android: record games with face cam, game sound and your voice, save the last moments with instant replay, and turn a long session into highlight clips. Your gameplay recording has no watermark and no time limit.

A screen recorder for games built around one idea: play, record, post. Game sound is internal audio, which needs Android 10 or later and works only with games that allow their sound to be captured. Voice chat and calls can't be captured; your mic still records your commentary.

▸ GAMEPLAY RECORDING
• Facecam on by default: move, resize, switch camera, change shape and border
• Game sound, mic commentary or both, with one-tap mic mute
• 480p to native resolution, up to 60 fps if your phone supports it, H.264/H.265
• Single-app recording on Android 14+: pauses when you leave the game
• Skip sound from apps you pick, so music stays out of clips
• Do Not Disturb keeps pop-ups out of the video
• Crash-proof mode keeps the video if Android stops the app mid-match
• Pause, countdown, stop timer, storage warning before a long match

▸ SAVE THE MOMENT
• Instant replay keeps the last 30 seconds; tap the bubble or shake to save it
• Drop star markers from the bubble, or auto-mark when you shout or laugh
• Shake to mark, save the replay, stop, or show a privacy cover
• Privacy cover: a "Be right back" card that mutes mic and game
• FPS and temperature line on screen, speedrun timer with splits at markers

▸ GAME HUB
• Tap a game: PlayRec starts recording, then opens the game
• Files named after the game, library grouped by game
• "Play & record" widget, storage used per game, clean up old recordings
• Game Hub lists games from your launcher, with no usage-access permission

▸ HIGHLIGHTS AND SHORTS
• Auto highlights from game sound, fast motion, your reactions and your markers
• Save highlight clips, a session recap card and a YouTube thumbnail
• Kill-cam clips, reactions with text and sound, beat-synced montage
• Vertical 9:16 Shorts, with facecam on top and the game below
• Skip lobby and loading parts; YouTube chapters from your markers

▸ EDIT AND SHARE
• Trim, remove parts, join, speed, crop, compress, GIF, background music
• Boost volume, reduce noise, voice changer, voice-over, text and .srt subtitles
• Clean copy: bleeps swear words in your commentary into a new video
• Blur private info, fix out-of-sync audio, cut out covered parts
• Export audio stems (picture, game, mic) for a PC editor
• Live stream over RTMP to YouTube or any RTMP server, with auto-reconnect
• Send to a computer over Wi-Fi, or play on a smart TV on the same network

▸ GOOD FOR
Game clips for YouTube and TikTok, full matches with commentary, speedruns, guides, and sharing a lucky moment with friends.

▸ FREE AND PREMIUM
Gameplay recording is free, with facecam, no watermark and no time limit. The free version shows ads, with at most one full-screen ad every third recording. Premium removes all ads and unlocks the crown tools, such as 1 to 5 minute replays, Shorts from highlights, beat montage, kill-cam slow motion, rounded facecam with border, lowering game sound while you talk and clean mic. Plans: monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase.

▸ PRIVACY
Recordings stay on your phone. PlayRec never uploads them, and no account is needed. Replay stays temporary until you save it. Mic reactions and swear-word checks run on the device. Video leaves the phone only when you live-stream, cast or send it.

▸ FAQ
No game sound? It needs Android 10+, and some games block capture. PlayRec remembers those games and offers the mic.
Stopped when the screen went off? Android 15+ stops recording on lock; set a longer screen timeout.
Dropped frames? This screen recorder for games can suggest 30 fps or 720p for that game.

▸ OUTPUT
MP4 video (H.264 or H.265 with AAC sound), GIF, M4A audio, PNG screenshots, JPEG thumbnails and .srt subtitles.

Recent changes:
Long recordings that roll over into a new file no longer stop partway, and a recording whose audio source goes away now finishes instead of failing. Taking a standalone screenshot after screen-capture permission has ended now fails cleanly instead of leaving a notification you cannot dismiss. When an export cannot finish, the app explains why and offers the fix that matches.
