I live in a reportedly secure electronically gated community for seniors, however in this day and age I find I needed a device to use in the event of an emergency and purchased the plegium personal protective spray which hangs from a small magnet for easy grab, once sprayed it releases pepper spray, sets off a piercing siren and strobe light and sends communication to your emergency contacts alerting them of its use and your location

This is a LIFESAVER, tested multiple times, worked flawlessly. As a transgender woman, I'm constantly on guard, having friends that have been beaten, raped and killed; I feel safer having this pepper spray with me. The pepper spray itself is sleek, siren is loud, pepper spray stream is precise. Called my close friends and family (test) asap. I've had to almost use it when a man threatened my life, having this pepper spray made me feel like I had a decent chance of defending myself.

I only gave the app 4 stars because if youe anything like me and don't like notifications always there then this app is a no-go it is always scanning for something. You have to leave Bluetooth on for it to be connected and that's going to take your battery life out fast. The app is very easy to use its very understanding there was never a time I was confused on where something was at on the app. I will not say don't get it cause that's your choice but that's how the app came to me. Amazing app

Initial app install did not work. However, very quick response to customer service query appears to have led to an app update which has appeared to fix it. It still appears to seem to attempt Bluetooth pairing repeatedly but this then settled. Hopefully this will continue to work. I'll update in due course. Now much more hopeful this will deliver on its objective 🤞

This app used to be free. I was able to add my contacts at the time I got it, which was probably in 2024. Now they want a subscription. Uninstalled.

The battery of the device only last for 1 year not 4 years as advertised. They used to have 5 slots of contacts for the free version but only 2 now.

At first, I thought this was a great idea and had several others but the spray. I have now had three pepper sprays in less than 2 years. The sprays keep disconnecting from the Bluetooth which is scary, ineffective if something was to happen and a hassle to keep reconnecting. Within months, all sprays lose connection and the app will not find it anymore and connect.

The free features aren't free in order to do anything on the app you need to have a subscription for free features also the pepper spray leaks after a year.

An actual joke, the spray costs around 50 euro and when I bought it the app and the sms/call alarm was part of purchase but now it's locked behind a subscription, which means that the product I bought just lost half its function. can't even log in to delete my details cus it demands subscription if I had not bought this years ago I would be sending a reclamation
