Description

Pocket AC is a collection of tools and reference tables for cinematographers, camera assistants, operators, DITs, and videographers developed by a camera assistant. It features various calculators and charts to help prep and execute productions. In addition, the included camera log allows ACs to quickly log shots and email the setups of the day.

This is super awesome, over my 3 years of experience as a 2nd Ac I have enjoyed using Microsoft Excel to log my camera report, which gives me more opportunity to design my columns anyway I want, until recently when I discovered a Pocket Ac app and it been such an amazing experience for me since I have been using it, more useful for me as 1st Ac, but how I wish you can add more features, like Slate columns, both on the Slate display and at the log sheet also need an update for new cam and Filters

Awesome app. I just have one question. I've recently compared the DoF calculator on your app to pCam (Apple only app) and was wondering why the results don't match under the same input scenarios. I was getting more DoF with your app than pCam. What numbers and formula are you using or are you doing actual tests to determine these numbers?

As a 2nd AC/loader I found the app handy for recording camera notes on set and making a PDF of them to distribute. It saves on using pen and paper on set. As a 1st AC/Focus Puller I find the depth of field tool useful as a reference when pulling focus.
