Portfolio Performance is the mobile companion for users of the popular free and open-source Portfolio Performance desktop application. This app is your gateway to tracking investments on the move, complementing the desktop version's capabilities. Edit and maintain your transaction history on the desktop, then view and analyze your investments on your device.
How does it work?
The mobile application reads the same data file as the desktop version. When you assign a password, the file is secured with industry-standard AES256 encryption. Choose your preferred cloud storage provider, like iCloud, Google Drive, or OneDrive, for file synchronization. Your financial transaction history remains confined to your phone, with all calculations performed locally.
What features are supported?
• Update historical prices with the "Historical Prices" configuration for Portfolio Report, HTML, JSON, CoinGecko, Eurostat, and Yahoo Finance (Note: "Latest Price" configuration is not yet supported). • View statements of assets and related charts. • Access performance views and charts. • Earnings view, including yearly and monthly charts. • Taxonomies, including pie charts and rebalancing information. • Exchange rates, including updates of reference rates from the ECB. • Filters to restrict calculations and charts to specific accounts and/or classifications from any taxonomy. • Support for 29 of the 46 dashboard widgets available in the desktop version. • Analysis for all reporting periods (Note: Reporting periods based on "trading days" using a trade calendar are not yet supported). • Dark mode.
What is included in the subscription?
Portfolio Performance offers an optional 'Premium' subscription, which unlocks dashboards and supports future development of Portfolio Performance. With this subscription, you can view all dashboards created in the desktop application and also create and edit mobile dashboards, tailoring them to your specific information needs on the mobile screen.
Please note: Payment will be charged to your Google Play account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the Google Play Store after purchase.
Recent changes: This update lets grouped accounts carry an ownership percentage, so a jointly held account or portfolio can be split by member. You can now also edit the titles of your dashboard widgets, and opening a page from a widget carries over its reporting period so the detail view matches what the widget shows. It also aligns historical price extraction from web pages more closely with the desktop application.

Pretty powerful, truly the best I've found. Difficult to navigate and use though. Labels on the data shown on the Assets screens would help tremendously. Esp on Performance Today/Total layout. Also, ability to add/remove data from the individual stock Asset screens would help. Would like to optionally see P/L as % or Performance in $$.

The app is excellent as a complement to the desktop version, which is extremely complete and well-developed. On the downside, it unfortunately followed the (senseless) trend of blocking screenshots. Since the data is mine, I should be able to share it with whomever I want.

Good app but always issue with sync. Everything was working fine, but in last few months I see the sync is always off. Though the file is in g drive. I just opened one desktop and mobile, and it's off by 2k. Pity I would like the devs to fix this, so I can update the rating.
