Description
Positional is a location based app that utilizes the phone's GPS hardware and fetches various details of the current latitude and longitude data like Altitude, Speed, Address and similar other information and show it in easily understandable format to the user. Alongside this main functionality of being a location app, Positional also provides a separate panel for Compass, Level, Trail and Clock, and they serve their own purpose as the name suggests.
Compass provides info related to direction using Geomagnetic field, Clock fetches the time related information based on the current location, time zone and also sun's information like Sunset, Sunrise, Twilight and many other info while the level can be used to get the plain deviation info and for many other purposes. Trail can be used for marking locations on the map and create a travel journal anywhere on the map using many contextual icons.
On top of all the core functionality, Positional is a highly polished app and provides another layer of a very carefully handcrafted minimal designs that organizes every information in a very pleasant way with amazing and beautiful physics based animations and still maintains to do what a location app is supposed to do.

This is a very good location app. Has timely emailed support. The only negative is setting a different app icon in Settings. It doesn't work. The developer says that issue is unique for my device, nevertheless. If anyone has that issue, please report it.

This could be useful, however, it isn't. Two things: 1) the only map that will show is Satelite. 3) Maps only works online.

Positional is an absolute beauty of an app! I'm so glad I got it. The compass is accurate. I wish you could use it to log trails and force the GPS/location service to continuously run in the background. This app needs to win for design done right! Thank you, Hamza, for a winner in my book 🏆 This app design reminds me of Timely from back in the days.

Without internet no coordination, no local map's, useless where no mobile coverage. Without internet no maps. On the mountain there's no mobile coverage. You don't understand, or you won't?!? No possibility to download maps for offline use. So GPS is useless. It's like a Supercomputer without instructions. Compass and elevation readouts seem to work well. Btw, as an engineer I know how GPS worx. P.s. maps are cleared off apps' mem when phone clears cache's with writing rights enabled.

Obviously uses Google Maps SDK. A side effect of that is that maps do not get cached offline (since Google does not allow that in the Maps SDK license), which renders the whole app rather useless for me. Not every place on Earth has a good and stable internet connection… especially when hiking et al. I'll stick with Google Maps which offers offline maps.
