Comments on Potenza Drive: Engine Sounds for Android

Definitely made my ride more fun. 11 car sounds to be chosen from. Installed on my Android head unit (AC8259 mid-range chip) so no need for aux cable. Around 1s delay between throttle and sound but most of the time it's not noticeable. Paired with ELM327 with 2 PCB as recommended, maybe 1 out of 10 times I need to restart the app for the connection to get established. Normally it would be ready within 2 minutes. Volume wise it's still quite low compared to other apps, even after set to 10 dbs.

Simple navigation app with subtle engine sound. No bugs and good Bluetooth connection... just the way I like it! Good job!

Brilliant! Works as it should. Car sounds are great. Very, very slight lag but nowhere near enough for me to be bothered by (edit - updates seem to have vastly improved this). Easy to use. Supercharger noise on the Challenger is particularly nice! Great fun.

Easy to connect and use. Reaction time is quite enough. I use gtr sound in my car because ıt sounds more realistic. I didn't like the pop bang sound, i think you can change the source sound with more realistic sound. I realized that when I pick the gtr, the sound level is higher at lower rpm but slowly decrease at higher rpm. It's the opposite situation. I think you can fix this problem and improve the app. You guys did a good job. Well done!

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work in my Nissan Leaf (EV). I use a Bluetooth OBD2 reader with other apps on my phone a lot, but this one simply doesn't connect. I think it might be because my Leaf is electric and thus doesn't actually comply with the official OBD2 spec, instead it uses its own proprietary CAN bus messages. However, these are well documented. If you could add support for Nissan Leaf it would be so, so awesome! I would pay money for this and also am happy to beta test. Thx!

It needs the option to connect to OBD2 via Wi-Fi like redhead. Low latency, more bandwidth, more range. Bought it but regretting it until Wi-Fi is added and more sounds.

How can I increase the volume even on my subwoofer its loud but I can literally blow my eardrums out when I play "car sounds" from YouTube but potent drive is quite mid in the loudness (its on +10db)

Doesn't connect, doesn't work. Video is fake just check shifting times no sound changes. UI doesn't even show if you are connected or not. I have obd II elm 327 Torque and redhead (which is the best one) work perfectly.
