Prayer Journal App - Altar

Altar is a prayer journal for people who want to pray with intention — and remember what they prayed for.

Write down what is on your heart, return to it, and watch a habit take shape. Every prayer you record stays with you, along with the days you brought it before God and the Bible verses that carried you through.

A PRAYER JOURNAL THAT KEEPS UP
Capture prayers as they come and give each one a category — praise, confession, thanksgiving, intercession, healing, guidance and more. Add a photo of the people you are praying for. Set prayer reminders so the things that matter do not slip past.

TRACK THE DAYS YOU PRAY
One tap when you have prayed. Over time those taps become a picture of your faithfulness: total days in prayer, your current streak, your longest streak, and the prayer categories you return to most.

THE BIBLE, BUILT IN AND OFFLINE
Four Bible translations ship inside the app, so scripture is there with no connection needed. Read the Bible, highlight any verse in color, and keep every highlight together in one place you can come back to.

PIN BIBLE VERSES TO YOUR PRAYERS
Found a verse that belongs with something you are praying about? Pin it to that prayer and it is waiting there every time you open it.

A CHRISTIAN JOURNAL, TOO
Separate from your prayer list: a dated, private daily journal for the days words come easily and the days they do not.

BACKUP AND RESTORE
Back up to Google Drive or to a file you keep yourself, on a schedule you choose. Move to a new phone without losing a prayer.

Altar has no feed, no followers, and no one reading over your shoulder. Just you, your prayers, and the time you give them.

Recent changes:
Altar now asks about your prayer life and builds around your answers.

• Reminders in the voice you chose
• Pray now opens on a session the size of the time you have
• Home leads with what you said gets in the way
• First prayers written for what's on your heart

Also: a calmer close to a session, and the answered badge appears the moment you mark it.

Fixed: the keyboard no longer covers the button when adding a prayer.
