Prayer Journal & Bible: Altar

Altar is a prayer journal with the Bible built in. Write down what you're praying for, pin Scripture to it, and keep a record of every answer.

A HOME FOR YOUR PRAYERS
Keep every request in one place, sorted into categories like healing, guidance and thanksgiving. Add a photo of the person you're praying for. Mark a prayer answered and it stays on the record, with a chart of every day you prayed for it.

PRAY THROUGH THE SEASONS
Prayer journeys for Advent, the new year and Lent: one reading a day, with a passage, a short reflection, a question to sit with, and often a prayer to keep. Each journey opens in the app a week before its season begins.

PRAY NOW
Start a session sized to the time you have, from a few minutes to no clock at all, and pray through your list one prayer at a time.

THE BIBLE, BUILT IN
Six translations, all offline: the Berean Standard Bible, World English Bible, King James and American Standard in English, Reina-Valera in Spanish and Bíblia Livre in Portuguese. Highlight a verse and pin it to the prayer it belongs with.

A JOURNAL FOR THE WHOLE STORY
A dated journal for the days words come easily and the days they don't. Search it, and your prayers and notes, any time.

STAY STEADY
Reminders in the tone you choose, a streak that counts the days you pray, and widgets for your home screen.

YOURS ALONE
No account and no feed. Your prayers and journal stay on your phone, and you can lock Altar with your fingerprint, face or screen lock. Back up to your own Google Drive or to a file you keep. We see anonymous usage and crash data only, never what you write.

SHARE WHEN YOU CHOOSE
Share an answered prayer as a card showing only what you pick, or print and send your prayer list to your small group.

SUBSCRIPTION
Altar Premium is a monthly or yearly subscription, with a lifetime option as a one-time purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play.

A PRAYER JOURNAL THAT KEEPS UP
Capture prayers as they come and give each one a category — praise, confession, thanksgiving, intercession, healing, guidance and more. Add a photo of the people you are praying for. Set prayer reminders so the things that matter do not slip past.

TRACK THE DAYS YOU PRAY
One tap when you have prayed. Over time those taps become a picture of your faithfulness: total days in prayer, your current streak, your longest streak, and the prayer categories you return to most.

THE BIBLE, BUILT IN AND OFFLINE
Four Bible translations ship inside the app, so scripture is there with no connection needed. Read the Bible, highlight any verse in color, and keep every highlight together in one place you can come back to.

PIN BIBLE VERSES TO YOUR PRAYERS
Found a verse that belongs with something you are praying about? Pin it to that prayer and it is waiting there every time you open it.

A CHRISTIAN JOURNAL, TOO
Separate from your prayer list: a dated, private daily journal for the days words come easily and the days they do not.

BACKUP AND RESTORE
Back up to Google Drive or to a file you keep yourself, on a schedule you choose. Move to a new phone without losing a prayer.

Altar has no feed, no followers, and no one reading over your shoulder. Just you, your prayers, and the time you give them.
