Prayer Pause: Screen Time

Prayer Pause is a Muslim screen time app and app blocker for salah. It blocks distracting apps at every prayer time and asks for dhikr, Quran or dua before you scroll.

Pick the apps to block. Set schedules around your prayer times. When you reach for a blocked app, Prayer Pause steps in with something better: dhikr, Quran, a quick quiz or a moment of reflection. Break the bad phone habits and build better ones. Your digital detox, powered by your deen.

WEAR OS COMPANION

Keep prayer times on your wrist with the Prayer Pause watch app, Prayer and Focus tiles, and watch-face complications for your next prayer, countdown, prayer progress, streak and Sabr Score. Complete setup on your Android phone and pair your Wear OS watch to sync prayer data. Saved prayer data remains available offline; updates and Focus controls require a connected phone.

PROOF MODE

Register your prayer mat with the camera. Salah Focus then reopens your apps only after you scan that spot, so you unlock by praying, not by tapping a button. Name and save as many prayer spots as you need, for home, travel or work. Matching happens on your phone and the photos never leave it. If the camera cannot read the mat after a few tries, an honor tap still lets you through.

PRIVACY

App blocking and prayer mat matching run entirely on your device. Scan photos never leave your phone. Your prayer history, streaks and blocking rules are stored only on the device: no account, no cloud sync. Prayer times are fetched using your location. No ads.

HOW PRAYER PAUSE USES THE ACCESSIBILITY API

App blocking is powered by Android's AccessibilityService. Prayer Pause uses it only to know which app has come to the screen, so it can show your prayer pause when you open a blocked app during a prayer window, a blocking rule or a Focus session you start. The service cannot retrieve window content: it never reads what is on your screen, never collects what you see, and never acts on your behalf. You can turn it off at any time in Android Settings, Accessibility.

Prayer Pause is a Muslim screen time app, salah app blocker, prayer times app and digital detox for your deen, with Quran, dhikr, dua, hadith, tasbih counter, Qibla compass, Islamic quiz, Ramadan and Jummah focus.
