Had this app installed for years and didn't need it until today. Lost my phone on campus and was able to track it down using the GPS coordinates to a dorm room. Contacted campus police, and they went in the building and had me set off the siren to find which room it was in. I don't think I would have gotten my phone back without this app. THANK YOU!!

Update 6/21/2024 Have used the app for years. Have been able to recover two phones and one laptop. Being able to remotely lock/disable the phones was easy. I noticed a few comments about the shutter sound when remotely taking pictures with Prey. You will need to go into the camera setting in the phone to turn off shutter sound BEFORE it's lost/stolen (if that is an option for your phone). Some cell carriers do not allow you to disable the sound.

This app drained my battery from 90% to 50% in four hours. It is constantly draining the battery.

It won't uninstall, even when I go to admin and deactivate it. I want this off of my phone. Where can I get help for this, ... ZERO stars since it has my phone hostage and continually spinning in deactivate mode. VERY SUSPICIOUS

The "uninstall prey" option is on the main screen, which enables people to remove prey without permission. Why?
