PrivacyCam: Blur & Redact

Protect private information in photos and videos before you post, message, save or share.

PrivacyCam is an on-device photo and video redactor that helps you find sensitive details, review every result and create a safer copy. Blur faces, pixelate number plates, black out private text and manually cover anything detection misses.

FIND PRIVATE DETAILS

• Detect faces in individual and group photos or videos
• Hide full bodies when face-only protection is not enough
• Find vehicle license plates and number plates
• Detect QR codes and barcodes
• Identify payment card numbers and CVV or CVC codes
• Find phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses and website links
• Review other readable text in photos

BLUR, PIXELATE OR BLACK OUT

Choose smooth blur, strong mosaic pixelation or solid blackout. Adjust blur or pixelation strength and preview the result before exporting. QR codes, barcodes and license plates can be strongly pixelated or completely covered so they are harder to scan or read.

VIDEO PRIVACY REDACTION

Protect moving subjects and sensitive information across a video.

• Detect and track supported privacy risks
• Hide faces and full bodies independently
• Track number plates, QR codes, barcodes and selected sensitive text
• Add manual masks when detection misses something
• Move and resize masks as subjects change position
• Keep a mask in place near an edge or during a brief detection miss
• Review the complete video before export

FRAME-BY-FRAME CONTROL

Move by a single frame or one second to inspect difficult moments. Add precise position points, use directional controls for small adjustments and resize masks for distant subjects. PrivacyCam moves a mask smoothly between the positions you set.

BUILT-IN VIDEO EDITING

Open the clip editor only when you need it.

• Split a clip at the playhead
• Delete unwanted video sections
• Trim the beginning or end
• Undo and redo changes
• Mute the original audio
• Pinch to zoom the timeline
• Preview the edited sequence before export

REVIEW BEFORE YOU SHARE

Automatic detection provides suggestions, not a guarantee. Tap a suggested area to hide or show it, inspect the complete photo or video and correct anything missed.

For photos, add rectangles, move or resize redactions, brush over irregular areas and erase corrections. For videos, add masks and refine their position at exact frames.

CAPTURE, CHOOSE OR OPEN

Take a picture in PrivacyCam, choose a photo or video from your gallery, or open supported media from another Android app. Nothing is posted or shared automatically.

ON-DEVICE PRIVACY

Analysis and editing happen on your device. PrivacyCam does not upload your media, detected text or private details to a developer-operated processing server. No account is required.

REMOVE EMBEDDED METADATA

PrivacyCam creates new exported copies without carrying over the original location metadata. Your original photo or video remains separate unless you remove it.

BATCH PHOTO PROTECTION

PrivacyCam Pro unlocks batch protection for up to 10 photos. Review each image separately, make individual corrections, then save or share the completed batch.

PrivacyCam Pro is an optional one-time purchase with no subscription or recurring charge.

USE PRIVACYCAM FOR

• Family and group photos
• Children’s privacy
• Vehicle listings
• Screenshots and contact details
• Cards, documents and addresses
• Journalism and workplace media
• Social posts, messaging and videos

IMPORTANT

Face, person, license plate, text, QR code and barcode detection can miss private information or identify ordinary content incorrectly. Video tracking can briefly miss fast movement, partial faces, poor lighting, distant subjects or objects crossing a frame edge.

Always review every part of a photo or video before saving, posting or sharing. Use the manual and frame controls to correct anything missed.
