PrivacyGuard: Mic Camera Alert

Take back control of your mobile privacy.

Ever wondered which apps are using your camera or microphone without your knowledge? Privacy Guard provides real-time transparency into your device's sensor activity and a comprehensive audit of all granted permissions.

KEY FEATURES:

🛡️ Real-time Monitoring: Receive instant visual indicators whenever an app accesses your Camera or Microphone. Our sleek overlay ensures you’re never caught off guard, even when the app is running in the background.

📅 Detailed Access Logs: Keep a permanent record of sensor activity. See exactly which app accessed your hardware, at what time, and for how long. Includes app icons and human-readable names for easy identification.

🔍 Permission Auditor: A clean, clutter-free view of your apps and the sensitive permissions they hold. We filter out noisy system services to focus only on the apps you’ve installed and the permissions you’ve actually granted.

🚀 Smart Sorting: Apps are automatically sorted by their last activity. Quickly identify which privacy-sensitive apps you’ve used recently and see exactly when permissions were granted.

✨ Clean & Compact UI: Designed for efficiency. Our "Apps" tab provides a simplified chip-based view of granted permissions (Location, Contacts, Storage, etc.), giving you a full security profile of your device at a glance.

WHY PRIVACY GUARD?

• No Clutter: We hide system processes like Settings and System UI so you can focus on third-party app behavior.
• Battery Efficient: Optimized background monitoring that won't drain your battery.
• User-Centric: Focuses exclusively on "Dangerous" (runtime) permissions—the ones that truly matter to your privacy.
Permissions Explained: Privacy Guard requires certain permissions to monitor other applications. We use these strictly for system-level event detection:
• Accessibility/Usage Stats: To identify which app is in the foreground during a sensor event.
• Overlay Permission: To show the real-time "active" indicator on your screen.
• Camera/Microphone Permission: Required by the Android system to allow our service to "watch" for sensor usage by other apps.
