Private AI Journal & Diary

Private AI Journal is a journal, diary and mood tracker with AI that runs on your phone, not in the cloud. Write, talk or scan a page, and get titles, summaries and gentle reflections. Your words are never sent to us: we don't have any servers.

🔒 PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up. Open the app and start writing.
• Speech recognition, text scanning and AI all run on your device.
• Your journal is encrypted on your phone with AES-256.
• Lock the app with a PIN, fingerprint or face unlock.
• Optional Google Drive backup is encrypted before it leaves your phone, so Google can't read it.

🎙️ JUST TALK, IT WRITES
Tap the mic and speak. Offline speech-to-text turns your voice into an entry, in English and many other languages. Keep the encrypted recording if you want to listen again, or keep only the text.

📷 FROM PAPER TO JOURNAL
Scan handwritten or printed pages with the camera or from your gallery. The text is read on your device and the photo is not stored.

✨ AI THAT REFLECTS WITH YOU
• Automatic titles and short summaries for your entries
• Mood suggested from what you wrote
• Follow-up questions when you want to write a little more
• Ask your journal anything. Answers come only from your own entries
• Weekly look-back: your week in one page, with a reflection written by on-device AI

😊 MOOD TRACKER & INSIGHTS
• Log your mood in seconds with cute mochi faces, plus what it's about: work, family, sleep, exercise and more
• 15 moods, from great and grateful to tired, anxious or lonely
• Mood chart over time and a color calendar of every day
• See what lifts or lowers your mood, based on your own entries
• Streaks to build a gentle daily habit

📓 A JOURNAL THAT FITS YOU
• Separate journals for work, travel, dreams or anything else
• Guided programs: multi-day series with one prompt a day
• Add photos, a place name and the weather to an entry
• Tags and full search
• Daily reminder at the time you choose, and a home screen widget
• Color themes, light and dark mode, Material You colors, fonts and mood icon styles
• Available in 12 languages

💾 YOUR DATA, YOUR FILES
• Export an encrypted .zip backup and restore it anytime
• Export a readable PDF with photos, or Markdown, to print or keep
• Erase everything with one tap

⭐ PRO
The app is free with ads. Pro removes every ad and unlocks:
• Hidden journals that only open with your PIN
• Letters to the future, sealed until the day you choose
• Monthly and yearly look-backs by on-device AI
• The biggest on-device AI model for better titles, summaries and answers
Choose a yearly plan or pay once for life.

Good to know
• The voice and AI models are downloaded once (Wi-Fi recommended). After that they work without internet.
• AI features run on your phone's processor. Speed depends on your device.
• Adding the weather sends only rounded coordinates (about 1 km) to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, never your journal. It's off unless you turn it on.
• A forgotten PIN can't be recovered, because there is no server to reset it. Keep a backup.

This is a journal, not a medical app, and is not a substitute for professional care.
