Professional Qanun: Kanun

Professional Qanun is a real kanun (qanun, the Turkish and Arabic zither) in your hands: 26 courses recorded string by string, every makam and maqam set by its mandals, and the tools a kanun player practises with every day.

REAL KANUN SOUND
• Six kanuns recorded course by course: concert, studio, elite, warm, bright and the classic sound
• Every string rings until it dies away, as on the instrument
• Two-handed tremolo with natural, lighter strokes after the first
• Glissando: sweep across the strings and every course you cross sounds
• Low latency touch: the string sounds the moment you touch it

MANDALS AND MAKAMS
• 26 courses from A2 to E6 with a mandal row on every course
• 43 makams and 10 folk ayaks: choose one and every mandal moves to its perde
• Rast, Uşşak, Hicaz, Hüseyni, Kürdi, Nihavend, Segah, Saba, Bayati, Hüzzam and 20 core makams free
• Turkish mandals (72 steps to the octave), Arabic maqam quarter-tone levers (urab) or exact AEU pitches
• Flip any mandal yourself while you play; a mandal chart shows the whole instrument
• Perde names on the strings: Turkish names, Do Re Mi or C D E

LEARN
• Seyir: hear each makam's path on the kanun, then play it with a glowing guide
• 53 folk songs to listen to (at 50, 75 or 100 percent tempo, on repeat) and to play
• Ear training: intervals, Kürdi, Segah or Buselik, çeşni and makam recognition
• Makam tuner: tune your own kanun against the makam in komas and cents

USUL AND IQA
• 21 Turkish usuls from sofyan to curcuna and 8 Arabic iqa'at: maqsum, baladi, saidi, malfuf, wahda and more
• Darbuka, bendir, def, kudüm or davul, with velvele fills and a tempo you set

RECORD AND SHARE
• Record your playing with every mandal and koma, and the usul under it
• Share as audio (WAV) or as MIDI with the microtones kept

MADE FOR PLAYERS
• Octave doubling for the left hand, tremolo by holding a finger on a string
• String height you choose, all 26 courses at once on tablets
• 18 languages
• No interstitial ads. One purchase unlocks everything for good, no subscription
