Wont work with my PL2303RA I have a Moto G 4G (XT1040) phone with USB Host support. I use an OTG cable to connect to an "Insigna NS-PU99501-C" USB-to-Serial Cable, which is using a PL2303RA chip (according to the windows utility). I've tried the App on Google Play, then the app in the API developer kit, and none of them can make the adapter work (it should work, right ?). The cable works well in Windows 7, though. So i give one star because the planned use was on android.

Supported chips dont seem to match chip case markings. The IC I'm working with is just marked HX, no A D etc. Also, removing support for "discontinued" products as if that suddenly removes them from existing devices in the wild is incredibly short sided. As a tinkerer and developer I have to say is ridiculously bad form from a company widely known as Prolific. Thats just not cricket, chaps.
