Tests include single leg stance with eyes open, single leg stance with eyes closed, tandem stance with eyes open, tandem stance with eyes closed, the timed up and go test(TUG),modified clinical test of sensory interaction on balance(M-CTSIB) , Fall Risk Assessment Test (FRAT), Predict_FIRST, and the balance error scoring system.
This tool is meant to assist in decision making, setting goals, and avoiding arbitrary cut off with testing. In addition to normative data, this app includes available interpretations of results. This app is ideal for physical therapists (PT), physical therapist assistants (PTAs), athletic trainers (ATC), occupational therapists (OT), nurses, and other allied health professionals. This should not be used alone to guide patient care, nor should this be a substitute for clinical judgment. Consumers (non-medical professionals) who use the tools or databases do so at their own risk.
