Encryption Protocol First and foremost, all of your conversations are stored in end-to-end encryption. You never have to worry about your data leaking out and no one can see your messages except for you, not even the Pulse SMS Team! With Pulse SMS, you get privacy and peace of mind, right out of the box.
Privacy Protection Proof In technical terms, we use PBKDF2 to encrypt your password and use it as a key to encrypt messages and conversations.
Technical Encryption Overview
1) When an account is created, we generate two salts. One to use with authentication and one for end-to-end encryption.
2) The one that we use with login is straight-forward and normal. We store a version of your password, hashed against the first salt, and authenticate you against this hash.
3) For the encryption, we hash your password against salt #2 and store it locally on your device (computer/tablet/phone). Having this key is the only way that you can decrypt messages. Since no one else has the password that was hashed against the second salt, no one else will be able to decrypt anything.
We share our privacy protocol publicly so our users have peace of mind knowing their password is never stored anywhere and without that password, there is no way to create the secret key used for encrypting and decrypting the content stored in the backend.
*Backups and registered user accounts for all users (free users, subscribers, one time purchases) are deleted after 60 days of inactivity.

Works so well. Terrific. And the developer is active and constantly improving. Sync across devices including PC and any web browser is awesome. I have changed nearly a dozen phones since I first started using this app 7+ years ago... and I have lost no text messages because of the Pulse cloud sync mechanism. Well done! Request: Add support for T-Mobile emergency satellite messaging. The android UX asserts that the feature is only available via the native SMS client.

I would rate it higher if, during the importing of my conversations from Samsung SMS, it hadn't failed to import all the texts I sent. Only the texts I received were transferred over. Kinda a bummer. Otherwise, it is a great app with many cool features that does exactly what it says it does.

Great app! Initially I had uninstalled this app because, I didn't think it was that good, I take it back. A great alternative to Samsung Messages and to me, it's better than Textra SMS. Install Pulse SMS ASAP if you don't want audio messages failing, and if you just want a smoother app that feels just like Samsung Messages better than Google messages, I highly recommend!!!

If you want to use this app you have to pay for it other than that it will fail your messages that you send

I started the free trial for SMS+ with the full intention of buying it, presumably the premium version removes ads. Why is there a section on the sidebar that says "More Great Apps" along with another app shown? If I'm going to pay money for the app to have no ads, I don't want to be suggested other apps in the messenger. It makes it seem like this is not a serious product but a cash grab. I won't be purchasing the subscription even though I could use Pulse's folder system. Shame

Well unfortunately I had to end my subscription to this application that I have used for approximately the last 6 years. I purchased a Samsung phone and none of my text messages would go through. Unfortunately Google is basically phasing out every other text message app besides their own. I am highly disappointed that I will not be able to use this app that I've trusted for the last four upgrades of my phone's. Unclear as to whether or not this will work with other brands such as Motorola.

I have had this app for 3 years, but when I upgraded my phone recently I have had constant problems. My main problem is that I can't receive group text. It's down to one star for me. I'm going to switch to another app.
