QR Code Halo is a QR code scanner, barcode reader and QR code generator that keeps your history on your device. Scan with the camera or choose a photo, even with several codes in one frame.

Try it first
Each device includes three successful scans, shared by the camera and the photo picker. Failed scans, cancellations and permission denials do not reduce the allowance. All nine QR creators, unlimited local history and full batch-audit reading are available without a purchase.

What happens when you scan
Links open in your browser. Passkey sign-in codes and app links go straight to the system. Wi-Fi codes bring up the system prompt to add the network. Calls, messages, email and places open in their own apps. Contacts and events open the add screen for you to confirm. Text is copied with a short note. Codes using javascript:, data: or file: are never opened.
To check each code first, turn off "Run action after scanning" in Settings. Batch scan only collects.

Security Check in History
Every scan outside batch mode is saved on this device unless "Skip saving to history" is on. Open any code in History and tap Security Check to review it with two local tools.
1. Local Payload Security Inspector parses the complete payload on device into scheme, host, path, query and fragment. Deterministic rules return Safe, Caution or Blocked, with transparent findings and an action disposition. No network reputation lookup and no fuzzy score are used, and parsing uncertainty fails closed instead of enabling an action.
2. QR Verification saves a result as a local reference, then compares a later scan by its complete SHA-256 fingerprint, QR format, content type, URL components, security level and action disposition.

Batch Risk and Difference Audit
Finds exact duplicate groups and host groups across a batch, then checks bounded lookalike hosts rather than claiming unlimited similarity detection. It shows the overall risk, each item's risk and every full decoded payload together.

Barcode scanner features
Reads 15 barcode formats, including QR, Aztec, Data Matrix, PDF417, EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 128 and GS1 DataBar. Batch scanning comes with duplicate suppression, zoom and flashlight.

QR code generator
Create text, link, Wi-Fi, contact, email, phone, SMS, location and calendar event QR codes.

History and backup
Unlimited history with no item cap: favorites, search, filters and sorting by type, date, format, tag or category. Automatic on-device categorization with manual override, and history export as CSV. Backup and restore preview the real counts, size and date range before you decide. Privacy mode clears history automatically, and codes can be saved to your gallery or printed.

Pro
An optional in-app purchase unlocks Pro: unlimited scanning, saving and acting on batch results, batch creation and batch CSV, committed backup and restore, high-resolution PNG, PDF and SVG export, and custom Aurora styles.

What it is not
QR Code Halo does not scan documents, perform OCR or maintain a PDF document library. PDF export contains QR artwork only. From another app's share menu, only URLs or plain text can be turned into QR codes.
