QuietPDF: PDF Reader & Viewer

QuietPDF opens a PDF and then gets out of the way.

There is no sign-in, no account, and no permission request. When you tap Open PDF, Android's own file picker hands the app the single document you chose, and nothing else on the device is visible to it. Your files are never uploaded, and the app has no way to read a folder you did not point it at.

Reading
The page fills the screen. The toolbar hides on the first touch and comes back the same way, so a long document stays a document instead of a frame around one. Pinch to zoom, scroll through the pages, and pick up where you left off.

Search
Type a word and QuietPDF finds every occurrence in the document, highlights them, and steps through the matches one by one with a running count.

Night mode
One tap inverts the rendered page for reading in the dark. The file itself is never changed.

Recent documents
Files you have opened are listed on the home screen so you can return to them in a single tap. The list is yours to clear, one item at a time or all at once, and it stays on this device.

Light by design
QuietPDF is a small download. It renders with the PDF engine already built into Android, so the app carries almost no code of its own and opens quickly even on an older phone.

Supported by ads
A single banner sits on the home screen. There are no full-screen ads, and nothing interrupts you while you are reading.

Apart from that banner, QuietPDF works offline. It does not collect your documents, your file names, or your reading history.
