RAR Islands is a minimalist, text-based island exploration & crafting RPG. Sail between islands, gather resources, craft tools, complete Settler requests, and help grow villages into thriving cities while you uncover the Echo Script and ancient Shaper lore.
Explore at your own pace - Sail to tiered islands: ship condition & upgrades unlock farther tiers. - Each island offers different gatherables, crafting materials, requests… - Find ancient Dungeons, Echo Chambers, and more! - Short sessions or long voyages: progress always feels meaningful.
Gather, craft & build - Chop, mine, and forage to craft tools and supplies that push exploration further. - Complete Settler requests to earn rewards and expand thriving villages.
Progression with purpose - Level up to earn Skill Points and learn new Skills. - Master gathering skills (Woodcutter, Miner, etc.) to act faster - Earn Explorer Badges to raise Guild Rank and unlock perks & more!
Uncover the mystery - Explore Dungeons, collect Shaper Fragments, and decode Echo Script syllables.

Hello Atchison :) I was the guy who suggested you to make another prequel/sequel of RAR II with tiles several years ago, with the possible inspiration from Elona pc game. Glad to see you made this game, seems like I will stay up night for the following few weeks playing this one. I love all your games and I just found out that you made a new game. Oh this is really nifty. I've played RAR 2, and this one has an increased emphasis on exploration and crafting. I've played a couple of hours and so far there is no combat. Your main goal is to build and upgrade new villages. You still discover new islands and explore them. The layout is different. You have immediate access to any areas that you've discovered on an island. There's lots of hunting and gathering to accomplish. It's very easy so far -- I see no way to lose (yet!). Recommended.

The game strays very far from what made the first 2 really fun for me, with a lot larger of an emphasis on exploration and casual gameplay rather than the rouge like elements that hooked me into the series. Disappointing for people seeking a challenge but a lot better for casual fun

For everyone wanting to experience the action packed adventure of RAR II, this is not their game. RAR islands is a Minecraft-like adventure where everything is done automatically: you explore, you fight, you eat, you collect things automatically. It's just button clicking galore. Gone is the player input to traverse an island, this time it's done on It's own with one button. Fights are confined to dungeons, YOU CANNOT DIE like in the previous game, there is nothing to look forward to. Big letdown
