RAVEN: RAW Video Camera

RAVEN records what your camera sensor actually sees — untouched RAW frames, before any phone processing, sharpening or noise reduction.

RAW VIDEO
Every frame of a take is saved as a RAW sensor frame, then exported to a smooth, high-bitrate HEVC video when you're ready. A lightweight preview video is recorded alongside, so you can play a take back the moment you stop.

DNG PHOTOS
Take single RAW photos saved as standard DNG files, ready for Lightroom, Darktable, RawTherapee or any RAW editor. Live photos capture a short motion clip around the shot.

FULL MANUAL CONTROL
• Shutter speed, ISO, focus distance and white balance on precise, detented rulers
• Exposure compensation, AE/AF lock and tap to meter
• White balance presets, or dial in Kelvin and tint yourself
• Auto processing switched off in manual mode — no hidden noise reduction or sharpening

MONITORING TOOLS
Histogram, zebra stripes, focus peaking and a framing grid, one tap away.

EXPORT YOUR WAY
• Standard Rec.709 for sharing, or S-Log3 for colour grading
• Frame your shot in 16:9, 18:9, 19.5:9, 20:9 or 21:9
• Keep the RAW frames for re-exporting later, or clean them up automatically after saving

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
RAVEN has no internet access, no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your photos and videos never leave your phone unless you share them.

DEVICE REQUIREMENTS
RAW capture needs a phone whose camera supports Android's RAW_SENSOR output. Many recent mid-range and flagship phones do, but not all, and support can differ between the rear and front cameras. RAVEN tells you on launch if a camera can't capture RAW.

RAW files are large: a few seconds of RAW video can take several gigabytes before export. Make sure you have free storage before a long take.
