A reality check is a simple thought-process or action that is consistently practiced (during waking life) to evaluate whether you are dreaming or not. This may sound silly, but the more you practice, the more likely you will be to do it in your dreams. Habitual actions and thoughts recur more frequently in the dream world, just like in normal life, which is why training yourself to practice your reality checks often will translate into more lucid dreams.

Great, but one issue.. I love the functionality of this app. It's so great to have a non-intruding reality check throughout my day. Only problem is that if I'm listening to something when the alert comes, the volume shoots all the way up on my music and makes my ears feel like rupturing. Thats the only qualm I have with an otherwise great app.

Nice app. But it should have a Are you dreaming? Notification that has a yes or no button. Would make reality checks more easier. And a number count. :)

Love it Simple app, and I only have a few criticisms: there should be 45 minute and 90 minute intervals available. I also have experienced where the check goes off and if music is playing, both the music and check are very very loud for just a moment, which can be jarring.

the app itself is good. the problem I'm having with it is that there seems to be a problem with the app responding to the do not disturb function and the phones volume controls. for example. I turned the ringtone, notification sound, touch feedback and system, and the music, video, and games volume controls all to zero. then I turned on DOD. the app gave notifications despite this. settings said override do not disturb was off. so no explanation why this happened. inconvenient
