Too many apps don't even have their own icon in the list. Moon+Reader Pro, Android settings, Google Play Store, and Opera browser to name just a few. They just show up with the Recent Bar icon. Also, apps do not open to where I was in the app, they just open the home screen. I use the Notification Toggle app and that will open apps in their current state.
