The app is not opening. Shows unavailable. After the device got updated and restarted the recorder app is not opening. Is this happening for anyone else as well? Can anyone tell me the reason?

★★★★☆ ES · Jun 12, 2026

Good for speech-focused recordings (audio quality and absence of other controls and features makes it irrelevant for music recordings). I have a Google Pixel and I love it... But, for Google and Google Android Users, it would have been better if this app was not a Pixel-exclusive.

How do I turn on the speaker labels, the toggle button doesn't work for me.

★★★★☆ Alan Wendell · Aug 24, 2026

Great app for recording and transcribing photo captions on the fly! It would be even better if we could toggle timestamps from elapsed time to actual time of day. This would allow users to pause and resume recording while keeping transcripts in sync with camera EXIF data.

Recorded files are nowhere to be found, so it's a useless app, another fail by google...

★☆☆☆☆ Dog/* · Aug 20, 2026

Cannot view my own recordings in a file app. Look, I understand you want us to use the online functionality, but why are you taking away features from people who don't want that? Why do I need root access to the files that I've personally recorded? Why do I need to select every single recording (max 100) to "export" just so I can "access" the recording file? This app works great with my pixel and has a transcript function on that works device, why can't I access these files on device then?

★☆☆☆☆ J. Karjalainen · Jun 16, 2026

Impossible to get a recorded file out of the app into phone storage. Every other recorder, hardware and software, stores a file of the recording. This one says it stored your file on the device, but it cannot be Found in the Recordings folder. Or anywhere else for that matter. I had to press Share to send the audio file to myself via another app to download it to the phone where it was recorded. Will be disabling this until a normal basic record to file is more intuitive to use
