Like the idea. Suggest quiz section showing a picture of item and description, and asking user if it is recyclable. Answer will be given without delay upon clicking. Little known items like a tin full of nails, or should I remove lid from bottle, or broken glass cups, individual disassembled plastic separated parts of a printer, steel bike rims and more uncommon little known items. I believe this will greating improve public knowledge and awareness.

Worked ok immediately. Only wanted to verify my Council area, not my address. Option to type in name of items, without photo. Has barcoded option (not ready yet tho). Gave options for disposal of stuff that can't go in the bin. I think the old review complaints (which made me wary to install at first) are now o.o.date.

The app doesn't function properly. AI check feature sometimes gets the item wrong, and yet the location always sets it to the wrong council. Even the barcode scanner can't pick up anything, not even chaffing creams.

First item I scanned (didn't actually identify so had to type in manually) as a test said to place in red bin which is contrary to the ARL which says recycle. It's a fantastic noodle 70g cup.

Good idea but I asked about smoke detectors, and it gave me 4 options that were huge distances from my home in inner South of Melbourne - suggested West, East and peninsula locations. When I inquired about waste it suggested northern suburbs! My local council, Port Phillip, runs a Resource Recovery Center that takes most recyclables located 4kms for my home. So, app not working....

Tested on a couple of items, and I think the AI has a way to go. I tried numerous photos from different angles to test the app on a clear plastic berry container, and it failed to identify it. It worked well for the obvious, a beer bottle. Proposed waste sites were almost all the wrong local government authority MBRC, not BCC.
