I don't understand why the app is still in the play store, because Chicken soup for the soul entertainment which is the parent company of red box, liquidated their assets on July 2024, this app hasn't worked since, and it will never work.

The only box of Flicks I know exists. Red box has a Monopoly. As of 2024, the Box went to the Video Rental Graveyard where it's now buried next to Blockbuster Video, Hollywood Video, and all the other wonderful physical media brick and mortar video spots. It used to be a thing to head to the rental shop and browse for a gem to take home for the weekend. Whether it was a VHS movie, or a game for Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis. Us dudes would sometimes pitch in to rent a system bundle. Good ol days

Won't load. Downloaded the app and nothing would load. I clicked my red box, so maybe something would happen, and it wouldn't create an account for me either.

Do not download this app. It doesn't work. You can't access anything on it. Shouldn't still be available to download imo. Apparently, when they declared bankruptcy and shut everything down, that meant that ALL of their users who "PURCHASED" movies through them also lost access. Thankfully I hadn't purchased many on this platform. But for others, this is going to represent a significant financial loss. With no way to recover. Buy physical copies.
