I don't usually write reviews, but I ended up putting quite a few hours into this one. I'm a big fan of regulates, and what kept me coming back was the combat. The ability to stop time, think about what you want to do, and then watch everything play out is a really fun twist. It makes fights feel more tactical without losing the pace. The art style is great, the music fits the atmosphere really well, and I found myself getting interested in the world and the story more than I expected.

I wanted to love it. And the few moments I got to play it was fantastic. But there are tooo many game breaking bugs for me to rate it any higher atm. Sometimes you lose the ability to move your character. You can still use abilities, but normal movement stops working. Renown upgrades randomly check off for no reason. Sometimes buying upgrade in the main shop will freeze the game. The reroll shop Rhodes I believe will roll new chips but then delete all yours and the rerolls leaving none.

I like the idea of the game. But there is barely any metaprogression. The first time you unlock the possibility to get metaprogressiom is once you reach the second boss. And then you have to do more runs to unlock something as basic as starting with 3 of a resource during runs. The gameplay isn't fun enough to warrant going so long without introducing anything new.

Honestly this would probably be a five out of five rating if the game was playable. All three times I've tried there's a movement bug that makes it, so you can't move at all, other than using your techniques. Took me a while to get out of the tutorial because of it, and then I was good until I got to the first boss, and I spent like 5 minutes fighting him only to have my movement locked again. Well if it gets fixed I would change my rating. Uninstalling for now.
