Remote for Finlux Smart TV

Remote for Finlux Smart TV turns your phone into a full replacement for a lost or broken Finlux TV remote. Connect your phone and your TV to the same Wi-Fi network and control your television straight from your pocket – no extra hardware, no complicated setup.

WORKS WITH

• Finlux Android TV and Google TV models – including the G8, G9, G10 and M7 series
• Finlux Fire TV models sold in the UK
• Chromecast built-in, for casting your own photos and videos

Your phone and your TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Finlux televisions that have no network remote-control interface – older non-smart sets, and models running Vestel Smart (Linux) or TiVo OS – cannot be controlled over the network.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Full remote control: power, volume, mute, channels, source and TV menu
• Three input modes: D-pad, touchpad and number keypad
• Built-in keyboard, so you can type searches on the TV from your phone
• Voice search on Android TV and Google TV
• Quick access to apps such as Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video
• Cast photos, videos and music from your phone straight to the TV
• Vibration feedback, and an on-screen indicator each time a command is sent
• Clean, modern design, available in 27 languages

Good to know: switching the TV back on over Wi-Fi depends on your TV model and its wake-on-network setting. Every supported model can be switched off from the app.

HOW TO USE

✔️ Turn on your Finlux TV and connect it to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone
✔️ Open the app and tap Connect TV
✔️ Pick your TV from the list, then enter the PIN shown on the TV screen
✔️ Choose a remote mode and enjoy

IF YOUR TV DOES NOT APPEAR

• Check that the phone and the TV are on the same Wi-Fi network – not a guest network, and not mobile data
• Some routers block device discovery; try turning off 'AP isolation' or 'client isolation'
• Close any other TV remote app before pairing – the TV accepts only one pairing session at a time
• Make sure your TV is a smart model with network control; sets without it cannot be paired

PERMISSIONS

The microphone is used only while you hold the voice-search button. Photos and videos are read only when you choose a file to cast. Nothing is uploaded – media is streamed directly to your TV over your own network.

Please note: available functions vary depending on your TV model and how it is connected.
