Remote for Roku TV

Turn your phone into a remote for your Roku TV or streaming player. Hear the TV on your headphones with Private Listening, type with your phone keyboard, open any channel in one tap, and cast your photos, videos and music to the big screen. No sign-up and no account needed.

The app finds your TV on your home Wi-Fi by itself. Misplaced your Roku remote, or did its batteries die? Your phone is ready in seconds.

REMOTE AND TOUCHPAD
• The keys you use every day: home, back, OK, arrows, play/pause, rewind, fast forward, instant replay and options, plus power, volume and mute on Roku TVs
• Hold an arrow or volume key to repeat it, just like the physical remote
• Touchpad: swipe to move, tap for OK
• Your phone's volume buttons change the volume of a Roku TV (you can remap them)
• A key blinks green when the TV receives it (red if it did not), so you know it worked; you can turn this off
• Input (HDMI, tuner, AV), channel up/down and find-my-remote on supported devices

PRIVATE LISTENING
• Hear the TV's sound through your phone and your headphones
• Watch late at night without waking anyone
• Needs a TV or player that supports private listening; some streaming sticks are not supported yet

KEYBOARD
• Type searches, usernames and passwords with your phone keyboard instead of the on-screen letters

CHANNELS

• Mark favorites and switch to your Favorites list

CAST TO YOUR TV
• Photos: one at a time, or a slideshow with fade transitions
• Videos and music: one file or a playlist of up to 50
• Web video: browse a site in the app and send the compatible videos it finds to your TV
• IPTV: paste your own stream link or open your own M3U playlist. The app does not provide channels or playlists.
• Casting Controls while something plays, with playback keys and the photo position ("Photo 3 of 12")
• Files stream straight from your phone to your TV over your own Wi-Fi; nothing is uploaded
• Casting plays through "CastHero - Cast to TV", our own free channel in the Roku Channel Store. The app helps you add it with two OK presses.
• Videos from subscription streaming services can't be cast; open those in their own channel on the TV.

WORKS WITH
Works only with Roku. Roku TV models from TCL, Hisense, onn., Sharp, Insignia, JVC, Philips, RCA and other brands, and Roku streaming players such as Express, Streaming Stick and Ultra. More than one TV at home? Switch between them anytime from the TV list.

GETTING CONNECTED
• Put your phone and your TV on the same Wi-Fi network. The app finds the TV automatically, or you can enter its IP address.
• The remote keys keep working even when the TV's "Control by mobile apps" setting is Limited. If a feature needs more access, the app shows you which setting to change.
