Description
This is the companion app for Restoration Games. We are a developer of tabletop games, including "hybrid" games that use an app and physical components together to create a unique experience at the table. The app features modules for different games, including the 1979 classic game of audio deduction, Stop Thief! This app is required to play Stop Thief!
In the game, players are investigators, trying to track down an invisible thief on the board. The app keeps track of how and where the thief moves and plays sound clues and animations indicating the type of space they move into, such as window, door, corridor, and so forth. By listening to the clues, players try to figure out where the thief is and move there to attempt an arrest. Punch in the number of the space, and the app will tell you if you succeeded or not. The app features alternate play styles, such as an intermediate level, where the clues are harder, and even a retro mode that emulates the sounds of the original device. You can even get a private tip: Pick up the device and get information about the thief's location that's only for you. Additional modes of play, such as solo and cooperative, are coming soon, along with even more challenging difficulty levels.
New content will be added to the app all the time, including modules for new games, updated content for existing modules, new play modes or difficulty levels, and more.

I liked playing stop thief! With this app. It works solid and the replay of the thief movement is also a great feature. A couple of minor things (which aren't game-breaking): 1. The set-up info for cooperative shows a picture for the competitive mode. 2. As others have noted it should be Debbie and not Danny as 'pack leader'. 3. When you get a private tip in advanced competitive mode, it gives two sections of the board. When you tilt your phone horizontally these expand which is confusing.

I'm curious if escape from fireball island would let me use my Andaman strike cobra? It would do the same principle as a flick of the finger but more of a hit or miss shot to be frankly accurate. & if the next escape from fireball Island expansion would allow Andaman & marble roller coaster pieces to be used in the game escape from fireball Island it would be challenging cause positioning the Andaman on the board game would be quite a fun juggling act for the board game.

Love it, especially the retro mode, does the original games' justice. Would like to see the thief escaping when playing the new standard edition as per the old "ner-ner-ner-ner-ner" and running away 😝 (unless we've not experienced it as yet).

The app simply doesn't work. This breaks the game. It gives bad clues that do not correspond to the location. Also, when you replay clues additional clues will be added. This makes the game completely unplayable.

My biggest problem with this app is the slider in STOP THIEF's competitive mode. Because my mother has physical problems with her hands, she has extreme difficulty in keeping her hand steady enough to swipe all the way across the slider to get the clue. This results in her getting angry and frustrated, rather than having fun playing. Could you release an update to the app that includes a settings switch that can toggle between the "slide to get clue" slider and an easy "tap for clue" button?
