Retro Calculator: Paper Tape

A retro printing calculator that puts every calculation on a paper tape.
Like an old adding machine, each number you enter prints line by line, so you can always see how you got the result, go back to any step and fix it.

■ Every step stays on paper
• Chain calculations like 12,000 + 3,500 + 2,000 and every number is printed
• Tap a line on the paper to bring its result back into the calculator
• Long-press a line for Note, Copy, Favorite, Fix numbers and Delete
• Mistyped a number? Use Fix numbers and the result is worked out again
• Done? Swipe the paper sideways to tear it off; it is saved to History as a receipt (with Undo)
• A segment-style display in Teal LED, Green LCD or White, and big keys that feel good to press

■ Business keys
• TAX+ adds tax to the amount, TAX− takes it out of a price that includes tax
• MU turns a cost into a selling price with your margin (cost 1,000 at 20% → 1,250)
• RATE sets the tax rate and margin, plus a √ square root key
• GT adds up every result on the paper and shows how many lines it counted
• Don't need them? Hide the business keys row in Settings

■ Share receipts and split the bill
• Share the paper as a receipt image, with a receipt name and a total line
• Choose how many people to split between and the receipt shows what each pays (rounded up)
• Add where to pay in one line; what you type stays on your device

■ History as daily receipts
• See past calculations grouped by day, like receipts, and bring any result back
• Search history by note, amount or receipt name
• Copy a calculation, star favorites, delete one or clear them all

■ Quick Tools for everyday math
• Discount: the sale price and how much you save
• Sales Tax / VAT: add tax to a price or take it out
• Margin: the selling price and profit from a cost and a margin
• Split the Bill: what each person pays, rounded up
• Unit Price, Percentage (percent of, increase, decrease) and Currency with a rate you enter

■ Accurate and familiar
• Decimal math done right: 0.1 + 0.2 = 0.3
• Memory keys (MC, MR, M+, M−), percent, sign change, 00 and delete
• Calculates in the order you press, like a real desk calculator

• Classic Beige, Sage Green and Charcoal themes, or match your device
