This game feels like it can abuse its customers because it has an underserved audience. For example the new character, lorenz butterfly, needs a lingering glow team. So they give spathodea a euphoria to make her lingering glow... then time lock it behind months of collecting scrolls. The worst "buff" system I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with.

As a returning player, the massive power creep and strict archetypes totally ruined it for me. Mixing character archetypes is non-existent. A bunch of useless and poorly implemented systems just to bloat the game as "content" (looking at you critters), and 2 harassed regulates that are nearly identical. Multiple banners constantly running with your usual 50/50 bs with hardly enough pull currency to get anything, let alone the huge power increases from getting dupes on newer characters.

High level content only viable for some teams. I have enough 6-star characters to make 3 teams. Only 4 of those 12 characters are viable for high level content. Even my full dynamo team dies within 3 rounds in Maine Bulletin. For most content you'll need 2 overpowered teams to do content like landscape or reveries of rain. I've been playing this game for months, and I can't get past after story content...
