ReWrite: Adult Handwriting

If your handwriting changed after a stroke or with Parkinson's, a birthday card or a form at the bank turns into something you put off. ReWrite is guided handwriting practice for adults, at home, at whatever pace you have today.

Before you spend anything, try it free at ansteyapps.com. It runs in your browser. No download, no sign-up, nothing to cancel.

Catalogued in the Parkinson's UK Tech Guide and listed as a resource by the National Aphasia Association.

EIGHT KINDS OF PRACTICE
• Letters: trace each one with stroke-order and direction guides, until the movement feels familiar again.
• Numbers: 0 to 9, for forms, dates and addresses.
• Common Words: short everyday words that join letters back into connected writing.
• Word Builder: choose an ending to finish a real word, then trace it. Word-finding and handwriting together.
• Large Letter Practice: for writing that shrinks across the line, as it often does with Parkinson's.
• Sentences: over 5,000 of them, from short phrases to dates, addresses and sign-offs.
• My Practice: your own name, your own address, anything that matters to you, with the guides fading as you improve.
• Free Practice: a blank page. Nothing scored, nothing saved.

THE ANSWERS BEFORE YOU BUY
• One purchase. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, nothing to renew.
• Works fully offline once downloaded. No internet needed to practise.
• No account, no sign-up. Nothing you write is collected or sent to us. It stays on your device.
• Android phones and tablets, Android 7.0 and later, including older devices.
• Practise for as long or as short as you like. You set how many items are in a session and you can stop at any point.
• Not a children's app. Adult words, adult sentences, and scoring that rewards effort rather than perfection.
• If it turns out not to suit you, refunds are handled by Google Play through the Play Store.

WHO MADE IT
ReWrite was built by a family living with the effects of a stroke, in the UK, by Ansteyapps Limited (company 17177054, registered in England and Wales). When someone we love had to relearn a skill they had had for a lifetime, we wanted something patient, encouraging and available in our own language, so we made it. Email support@ansteyapps.com and a person answers.

WHAT ELSE IS IN IT
• A progress report you can export as a PDF and send straight to your therapist, through your own email app.
• Session history and writing samples kept on your device, so this week can sit beside your first week.
• Guides you can show or hide as confidence grows, adjustable letter size and pen thickness, four pen colours, light and dark mode.
• Japanese hiragana and katakana, Chinese characters, Korean hangul, Hindi Devanagari and Arabic script, each with correct stroke order.
• Free printable practice sheets at ansteyapps.com/practice-sheets, for practising with a real pen.

IN 20 LANGUAGES
Real words and sentences in each one, not translated menus. The first dedicated adult handwriting rehabilitation app in Welsh and Irish (Gaeilge), alongside English, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, French, Canadian French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Arabic, Chinese, Twi, Danish and Dutch.

A WELLNESS TOOL, NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE
ReWrite supports your daily practice. It doesn't diagnose, treat or cure any condition. Please keep following the guidance of your occupational therapist, speech and language therapist or rehabilitation team.
