For text roasting, simply enter your introduction or message in the text field, and the AI will generate witty roasting jokes based on your input.

For image roasting, upload a photo from your gallery or capture a live photo using your camera, and the app will create humorous cartoon-style images and clever roasts.

You can also use voice input—speak directly into the app, and RoastMyPic AI will convert your voice into text and generate roasting messages from it. Generated images can be saved directly to your phone’s gallery for easy sharing.

🔑 AI Usage Requirement (Important)

To generate AI-powered image roasts and advanced AI features, users are required to provide their own OpenAI API key within the app.

The API key is used only to process AI requests initiated by the user

The app does not sell, share, or misuse API keys

AI requests are made securely and only for requested features

Without a valid OpenAI API key, AI image roasting features will not function

🔑 OpenAI API Key Usage & Validation

RoastMyPic AI requires users to provide their own OpenAI API key to access AI-powered roasting features.

The API key is validated when the user enters it

If the key is invalid or unsupported, AI features will remain disabled

Only after successful validation can users access AI image and text roasting features

🔐 API Key Storage & Security

The API key is stored locally on the user’s device only

It remains saved on the device until the app is uninstalled or the user manually removes it

The key is not uploaded, shared, logged, or used in the background

The key is used only to process user-initiated AI requests

🔐 Permissions Usage (Required for App Functionality)

RoastMyPic AI requests the following permissions only to enable core app features. We do not collect personal data or use permissions for background or hidden purposes.

🌐 Internet Access (INTERNET)

Used to securely connect to AI services (OpenAI and Gemini APIs) for generating text roasts, image roasts, and cartoon-style images.

🎤 Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)

Used only when the user chooses voice input to convert speech into text. Audio is processed only during active use and is not stored.

📷 Camera (CAMERA)

Used when the user chooses to take a photo directly from the app for image roasting.

🖼️ Media Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES)

Used to allow users to select images from their device gallery for image roasting. Access is limited strictly to user-selected images.

💾 Storage Access (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

Used to save generated images to the user’s device gallery (Android 12 and below only).
