As a boy, back in the 1950s, learned to splice from "old fishermen", yachtsmen, real seamen, "sail masters". This is the best "app" by far dealing with cordage, line, sheet, splicing. It would want to be top-rated as it is from a rope and cordage manufacture. Only common splice missing is the rope to chain, "anchor splice" Come on app Devs...!!!! Add the anchor. Best app available on splicing. 9.5 stars outa 5.
