Routes LV

Routes LV is the route app of the website https://routes.lv. It contains hiking, cycling, boating and SUP routes in Latvia with descriptions, photos, a map and GPX tracks.

FINDING ROUTES
• Search by name or place.
• Filters: activity, length, ascent and descent, difficulty, season, region, route type (loop or one-way), waymarked trail, dogs allowed, suitable for strollers, wheelchair accessible.
• Sorting: newest, nearest, length, ascent, descent.
• Routes nearby — based on your location, if you allow it.
• All routes on a map.

ROUTE DETAILS
• Length, duration, ascent, difficulty, season and surface.
• Description, photo gallery, elevation profile and the track on a map.
• Start, finish and parking; directions to the start with Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze.
• Warnings about hazardous spots along the route.
• GPX and PDF files.

FOLLOWING A ROUTE
• Your position on the track, distance covered and remaining, estimated time remaining.
• An alert if you leave the track.
• At hazardous spots and points of interest marked on the route — a notification and a voice message, also with the screen locked.
• Background location is used only from "Start route" until the route ends.

DOWNLOADS
• For a downloaded route, the track, description, photos and points are available without internet.
• The download size is shown; downloads can be limited to Wi-Fi.
• If a route has changed, it can be updated; downloads can be deleted.

ACCOUNT
• Sign in with email or Google.
• Favorites are synced across devices.
• History and statistics of completed routes in your profile.
• You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Account → Delete account.

WALKS AND REVIEWS
• Completed routes are saved to your account: history by month, the recorded track, statistics by year.
• Reviews and ratings with photos; other users' reviews on the route page.
• Reporting inappropriate content and blocking an author.

EVENTS
• Join an event route with a code or QR code, also without an account.
• Messages from the organizer; location sharing with the organizer — only with your consent and only during the event.
• SOS button and "Call 112".

Routes can be browsed without an account. An account is required for downloads and route guidance.
