Royal House

Royal House is a simple, offline nesting-box record for garden birdwatchers who look after a handful of nest boxes through the spring and summer breeding season. Open the app and you land on the Box Wall: a full-screen grid of birdhouse-shaped cards hung along a weathered fence rail. Each card shows the house name, where it hangs, the species in residence, the last visit, egg and chick counts, a brood-stage chip and a next-visit reminder badge. TRACK EVERY BOX • Brood stages for each house: Building, Eggs, Chicks, Fledged and Empty, with one-tap advance and stage-colored roofs • Filter the wall by stage and sort by next visit or by name • Quick Visit sheet: log the date, eggs, chicks, stage and a note in under ten seconds • House editor: name, hanging spot (for example "Old apple tree, north side"), height, box type, entrance hole size and species, from a built-in list or your own custom entry • Per-house timeline of visits, stage changes and notes, which you can edit or delete SEE WHAT WORKS • Per-season summary for each house: clutch size, eggs hatched, chicks fledged, hatch and fledge rates, first egg and fledge dates • Simple bar charts for quick comparison • Season history and garden-wide totals, with a best-performing-box highlight • Start a new season or archive an old one whenever you like • Export a season as a CSV text file through the share sheet GENTLE REMINDERS • Local next-visit reminders with suggested intervals for each stage • A minimal-disturbance warning as fledging approaches • Snooze or mark done, plus an Upcoming Visits list • A home-screen widget shows the next due visit and your live egg and chick totals LEARN AS YOU GO The built-in brood stage guide gives typical nest-building, incubation, nestling and fledging timelines for blue tit, great tit, robin, house sparrow, starling and wren. It also includes responsible nest-monitoring tips and a quiet-period warning, so you check boxes at the right time and disturb the birds as little as possible. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE Everything is typed in by you and stays on your device. There is no account, no camera, no bird identification, no location access and no social features. Choose your date format, default reminder interval and theme in Settings. Timelines in the guide are typical ranges and vary with weather and region. Always follow your local rules on nest monitoring. Whether you keep one box or ten, Royal House gives you a clear record of each season, so you can see which boxes do best and look after your garden birds with care.
