♔ HOW THE GAME STARTS On the board, you don't have a full army. You have your King and his small trusted team in their classic squares: King, Queen, 1 Bishop, and 3 Pawns — exactly where they are in traditional chess. The rest of your army is in your hand: 2 Rooks, 2 Knights, 1 Bishop, 5 Pawns in Reserve. From Move 1, you have the right to MOVE or DEPLOY. No waiting.
⚔ HOW TO PLAY — 2 CHOICES EVERY TURN MOVE: Make any standard FIDE chess move with a piece already on the board. DEPLOY: Place ANY piece from your Reserve onto any empty square on YOUR half (Rows 1-4 for White, 5-8 for Black).
🛑 3 GOLDEN RULES — NO CHEAP TRICKS ✓ No Capture by Deploy — you cannot deploy onto an enemy piece. ✓ No Instant Check by Deploy — a deployed piece cannot give check on the turn it appears. ✓ DEFENDING AGAINST CHECK WITH RESERVE IS FORBIDDEN — The most important rule! If your King is in check, you CANNOT defend by deploying a piece from your Reserve. You must defend exactly like in classic chess: either MOVE your King, or BLOCK / CAPTURE the checking piece using a piece that is ALREADY on the board.
