Comments on RSS Widget for Android

★★★★★ Jon Berger · Jul 30, 2020

Excellent! Does exactly what I want it to do. Simple, uncluttered, easy to configure. Can't think of a thing I'd change.

★★★★★ Martha Kriftel · Oct 7, 2022

Why won't link from the feed open in a browser when tapping on them? Tried setting different default browsers in Android, reinstalling, clearing data and cache, etc. The widget simply does not react to taps on the news headlines. Neither does it react to tapping the refresh button. Automatic refresh works. Why? -- Solution: Go to Apps/RSS Feeder/Battery and under "Optimize Battery usage" DEACTIVATE "RSS feeder". Works great. Can customize refresh time (or manually refresh), add multiple feeds (but no separation), title and description text size, description length, etc. just one problem: no images for some reason.

★★☆☆☆ Zach Lunsfor · May 15, 2021

It works with some things but not with others. Tested with feebly, my two links used both work under feebly widgets. With this, only one of the two works. Not sure why the link works with feebly but not rss widget app. Just says "no rss feed available".

★☆☆☆☆ Peter T · May 3, 2020

Feeds update daily as usual, however the articles no longer expand when clicked. I've checked all settings & they look normal. What's been changed?

★★☆☆☆ Lars Bengtsson · Jun 14, 2020

Works, kind of, don't auto update, so you have to manually refresh it.

★★☆☆☆ Jugoslav Milutinović · Aug 27, 2023

App worked great until a couple of days ago, now it says "No RSS feed available", even though I can open the feed in another RSS feed reader, both on Android and on Weekdays. Tried everything (recreating/reinstalling, it doesn't matter). If this issue is to be resolved, app deserves 5 stars.

100% Ads-Free!

Tired of unnecessarily complex widgets taking up too much space on your phone? Here is the solution.
A very simple, clean and easy-to-use widget to present RSS feeds on your home and/or lock screen. It does what it's meant to do, taking up minimal fraction of your phone's memory.

Multiple RSS feeds can be conjoined in a single widget and supports transcripts from right-to-left.

NOTE: This is a widget, not a regular app to launch. Please do not give low rating because you are unable to find the app in launcher. It is supposed to be included as a widget on your home/lock screen.
