I have upgraded my previous reviews from 1 to 2 and now to 4 stars due to massive improvements on this app. Finally, RTE player is behaving as a streaming app should behave. Still a few kinks to work out but overall a much more user-friendly experience. Box sets, the ability to ff and rewind, fewer ads, less crashing. I would love if it had the ability to play over my screen when I leave the app.

The actual app is pretty good, but I am fed up with being told e.g. watch Ireland Vs the Netherlands live, and it's actually Ireland women versus Netherlands women. Different teams different sport. Not developers fault

Worst streaming app ever. Constantly buffering and can't just play where you left off. No wonder people aren't paying there tv license for a service like this!

Stream freezes constantly during FIFA playoff. Not ready for streaming I'm living in an area without DVB-T coverage, and I don't have a sky subscription, so I'm totally dependent on watching RTE via streaming. I'm on FTH but during sports events the streams fail always with shorter and longer intervals of disruptions and there isn't even a way to reduce the video resolution to cope with it. Additionally, I have to turn off my VPN when I want to watch RTE. What am I paying my TV license for?
