Great app to use. It is a very easy app to use, and it has lots of great series to watch. Watching some great series on the RTE Player at the moment.

Easy to navigate. Content is what you'd expect from RTE. However, I wish there was a way to set the resolution, so I don't chew through all my data (many plans "throttle" after "fair use amount" is used, and It's easy to reach the limits in many cases.). I used 2Gb in just a few minutes! There are now also annoying (and repetitive) 30 to 60 sec promos that play when starting a radio stream. Extremely annoying if you're trying to tune in to the likes of live news and miss a lot of it...

I have upgraded my previous reviews from 1 to 2 and now to 4 stars due to massive improvements on this app. Finally, RTE player is behaving as a streaming app should behave. Still a few kinks to work out but overall a much more user-friendly experience. Box sets, the ability to ff and rewind, fewer ads, less crashing. I would love if it had the ability to play over my screen when I leave the app.

Awful app. Plays the ads no bother but can't play what you actually want to watch. Constantly buffering even tho I have 250mbs Wi-Fi
