this app is surprisingly good, it works great with the OBS VLC plugin, with very low latency, except when the stream is stopped, and started, then it needs a restart in OBS too. happens with your RTP app as well but it somehow recovers, although it takes a good while. Perhaps would could help if your HTTP server would be up but refusing all connections while the app was open but the video stopped, maybe it's waiting for something to respond before it tries again. all said, this is a minor thing which I'm not even sure is the app's problem.
