Description by Yunal Hodzha Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
- Giant towers to bring back to life: the frozen Stove, the boiling Kettle and the windy Bellows.
- Endless mode: the same tower for every player, with no upgrades, so every record is skill.
- Leaderboards and achievements on Google Play Games.
- One finger is all it takes. Running is automatic; you choose when to jump and how high.
- No energy and no waiting between climbs: play as long as you like.
- Plays offline.
The story
Wren, a small repair robot, wakes up alone in an abandoned world of giant machines. The great towers that kept the world running have stopped: the Stove is frozen solid, the Kettle's valves have stuck and everything boils, and in the Bellows the vents have gone wild. Far above it all, at the top of the Rune Spire, one light is still on. The Spire Office's automatic noticeboard is still hiring: Keeper wanted. Requirements: legs. Wren signs.
How it plays
Running is automatic, and Wren turns round at the walls. Tap for a short hop. Hold for a high jump: the longer you hold, the higher. Skip a floor, then another, quickly: that is a combo. Combos score extra, and every jump in a combo goes a little higher, so a good run feels like flying up the tower. Mind the bottom edge. It rises, and it speeds up.
The towers
- The Stove, the Ice Tower: from gentle first floors to long, fast climbs that test your timing.
- The Kettle, the Volcano Tower: a climb over the lava. Tap again in the air for a double jump, cross cracked shelves before they give way, and keep ahead of the Inspector, a machine that stamps the shelves and breaks them.
- The Bellows, the Wind Tower: a bright hall of air machines. Press again in the air and keep holding to glide. Rising drafts lift you, side winds push you off course, and the Sweep, an old duct cleaner, blows gusts into your path.
- Three stars in every level: reach the top, hold a long combo, and find the Lost Property hidden on the way.
- Every level you win lights a floor of the tower. Climb far enough to open the next tower, and win every level to get a tower running again.
Endless
One tower, no top. As you climb, the tower changes from the Stove to the Kettle to the Bellows, with an iron hatch every 100 floors and a new platform paint every 100. Endless is played by the book: no upgrades and no safety nets. Your best floor and your best combo are your high scores, and they go on the Google Play Games leaderboards. Endless opens once you win level 1.
More to do
- A painted world map that shows the towers you have brought back into service.
- The Wardrobe: steam colours and combo trails for Wren.
- Upgrades, bought with the coins you collect: Sure Step, Spring, Combo Clock, Coin Magnet and Safety Net. Upgrades help. Skill still wins.
- Daily Pay: a small payment for each day you play.
- Ranks from Applicant to Keeper as you gain experience.
- Dry, typed notes from the Spire Office, which kept working long after everyone left.
- A Reduced motion setting turns off camera shake and calms the effects.
More towers are coming.
