Sacred Stones Mobile

★★★★★ Awesome and fun little retro platformer that brings back the nostalgia of the 80's and 90's - aside from the graphics, the chiptune sounds and music, the frustrating difficulty is just right - reminiscent of the true retro games I played as a kid growing up in the early to mid 80's. This gem is definitely worth picking up, especially for the price of 99¢. I'm already hoping the developer is planning to continue to update this game with more levels, boss fights, and quests. This game is a true indie gem, and these type of games are very few and far between. The controls are responsive and work surprisingly very well on the mobile platform. The gameplay in the very beginning gives you the feeling of "okay, where do I go? What do I do?" (Just like the early games of the 80's) as well as the difficulty that continuously ramps up, making the game much more challenging. A strong learning curve is much needed to succeed in boss fights in this one. I've died plenty of times during the first 2 boss fights, and those plenty of times dying brought frustrations that were reminiscent of my younger childhood gaming, forcing the idea of timing and learning the boss's fight patterns. Great job developer! 👍🏻 This is a very fun game, a keeper on my phone.
