Safe Zone

Safe Zone is a fast-paced brain game designed to test visual recall, reaction time, and focus. During each round, one zone flashes green — this is your target. Then the board goes dark, all zones appear identical, and the countdown begins. Tap where the Safe Zone was located before time runs out. Missing the zone or running out of time costs one life. As you progress, the grid expands, and the duration of the flash decreases.

Escalating Mechanics and Difficulty
Safe Zone begins with a 2x2 grid, a distinct green flash, and a generous timer. Every correct tap increases the difficulty:

Flash Duration: The green target flash becomes shorter as you advance.

Timer Speed: The countdown timer accelerates with each level.

Grid Expansion: The board grows from a 2x2 grid up to a 5x5 board or larger, requiring you to scan more areas in under half a second.

The game is built on a straightforward cycle: memorize, locate, tap, and repeat. Each consecutive correct tap builds a combo multiplier up to 5x to increase your score. Breaking the streak resets the multiplier back to 1x. The game tracks your highest combo, longest survival time, and total Safe Zone targets successfully tapped. Players start with three lives total; losing all three resets the run back to the beginning.

Customization and Game Modes
Every correct tap earns in-game currency that can be spent in the Shop. Players can unlock various visual themes to customize their experience, including:

Neon grids

Paper textures

Night mode

Retro CRT flicker effects

These themes alter the visual presentation without changing the core gameplay mechanics or balancing.

Safe Zone features multiple ways to play:

Standard Mode: Progress through escalating levels with a fixed number of lives.

Daily Challenge Mode: Face unpredictable variations, such as multiple green flashes, moving zones, or color-based distractions, to earn bonus in-game currency.

Endless Endurance Mode: Play without set levels against a constantly accelerating timer until all lives are depleted.

Design and Controls
The game is built for quick sessions and focused gameplay. It features large, responsive tapping areas and immediate visual feedback. Safe Zone tracks personal records locally, allowing players to monitor their improvement over time across different grid sizes and flash speeds.

The core objective remains consistent throughout all modes: remember the location of the green target and tap it within the time limit.
