Developed by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the leading nonprofit in the fight to keep children safe, Safety Central is designed to make sure that parents have the tools they need to help them protect their families and act quickly should their children go missing.
At the core of Safety Central is a digital Child ID Kit. One of the most important tools for law enforcement when searching for a missing child is an up-to-date, good quality photo along with descriptive information. A Child ID kit is a simple yet effective way to keep those tools right at your fingertips. The app, which does not share any of your personal information, reminds you when it’s time to update your photos and allows you to store potentially life-saving information about your children in an easily accessible location.
Safety Central does much more than keep track of your personal child ID kit! You can download educational tips and resources from NCMEC’s award-winning educational team, stay up to date on news and events and help law enforcement find missing kids. Users can also join our mission by donating to NCMEC directly through the app. Safety Central is a free download thanks to a generous gift from NCMEC’s partner, EMCOR. Everyone with children should have this app - hope to God it's never needed. Had to reenter info twice because there isn't "save & continue" ability. Suggest if you don't have all info, enter a placeholder of anything then go back and edit. Also, physician's phone# is not showing in PDF but is in app so some glitch there.

I have tried multiple times to load my childs information onto this app. I am a 911 dispatcher and a trainer, and while checking the NCMEC site for their training, I found this app, which could be wonderful. unfortunately this app has low ratings, and I understand that NCMEC in a non profit, but this app is no good if you can'/ use it. This would be a wonderful tool, especially for school resource officers to share , and especially anyone with special needs. App will not confirm once you are done

I can't confirm profile. It stays grey before and after I click it. If
there's a piece of data I'm missing, I can't find it and it won't tell me
what it is.

I filled out everything and when I chose a photo it made me start over..I think this app is used to get info about people's children so sex traffickers can try and abduct them ..hell this sight is probably owned and run by pedophiles

Can't confirm my child's profile. It's greyed out. I've input all of the
information and taken pics of her fingerprints twice only to get stuck
trying to confirm her profile. It won't let me confirm. Help!

Won't let me add my child I get to the step of adding emergency contacts and it won't progress any further. I took a screenshot to send in for troubleshooting and there's no help area in the app at all.
