Sakinah: Islamic wellness

Sakinah (سكينة) — Islamic emotional wellness

Sakinah is tranquillity—the stillness Allah places in the hearts of believers. This app helps you find relevant Qur’anic verses, authentic Hadith, and Du’as for what you are feeling, grounded in the Islamic tradition.

How it works
Choose from 23 emotions framed in Islamic vocabulary—from grief (ḥuzn) and anxiety (ḥamm) to gratitude (shukr), hope (rajāʾ), and love (ḥubb). Sakinah surfaces guidance from:

• The Holy Qur’an — Arabic text, multiple translations (Saheeh International, Pickthall, The Clear Qur’an), and classical tafsīr
• Sahīḥ Hadith — graded narrations from collections such as al-Bukhārī, Muslim, al-Tirmidhī, and others, with isnād (chain of narration) where applicable
• Du’āʾ — supplications taken from the Sunnah

Features
• 23 emotions with concise, tradition-aware definitions
• Arabic typography (Noto Naskh), transliteration, and multiple translations
• Qur’an audio recitation
• Classical tafsīr — Ibn Kathīr, Maʿārif al-Qurʾān, al-Muyassar, al-Saʿdī (as available in-app)
• Authenticity grading for Hadith content
• Memorisation support for Qur’anic verses
• Favourites — save what speaks to you
• Offline-first — core experience works without internet
• Dark mode

Authenticity first
Content is traced to primary sources. Hadiths are graded and referenced. Nothing is presented as generic advice without verification.

Private by design
No ads. No accounts. No personal data collection. No tracking. Sakinah is built as a tool for remembrance—not engagement.
