Problem with spot app. It worked fine for a couple of weeks, now when I select a location it brings up the world map and will not let me reduce any further. I have updated the app every time it said there was a new update available. I have minimal success with spots selected. However, I did have good success in spots I was familiar with.(over 30 Trout in a 4 hr trip) and over 10 Trout separate day and different location.

This app helps me find spots to fish, it predicts tides and conditions, it identifies fish in pictures and remembers catches with the location if you want, and I use my discount to buy tackle often. The tackle tester program has been great for getting new lures. The community is awesome too.

A tremendous scouting tool that has improved in the 2 weeks I've had it with quality updates. The depth contours are completely unique. Many kayak fishermen don't use electronics, so this map layer is extremely useful. There are waypoints for launch spots and detailed fishing reports. In my estimation the app is worth the monthly fee, and will continue with my subscription. I'm not affiliated with Salt Strong. I'm just an average weekend warrior.

No way to use offline with downloaded or cached maps. Will sign you out without internet. Cant use for recording tracks.

Don't waste your money. This is a cash-grab. $13 to "try" it. There is no free trial for a reason. I get more accurate tidal/weather/wind forecasts on my FREE app. As for their special way to find and catch fish, it's an absolute joke. Fished their hot (red) zones twice, 8–10 hours each, with the lures they recommended, on an "8" day, no fish! Literally, not even bait on a Sabik. Went to a couple of my favorite spots (not marked on their app), used my favorite lures, caught fish and bait.

Tides in my area are not accurate and therefore smart fishing spots are not working. That's is the most important part of the app it's consistently off by 3 hours because the tides are incorrect. I know the technology exists because the Fish App tide charts work perfect in this same area and with those free apps you can pinpoint and save areas. ALSO. One smart spot that has been red 24/7 it's a dead zone LOL and 1 ft contours are not even close. Great concept if it worked Refund PLEASE!
