Nel lontano 1891 col suo banchetto vicino alla chiesa Cattedrale di Bisceglie, nonno Nunzio Ramelli era un venditore ambulante non solo di scarpe, ma anche di immagini e statuette sacre. Altri tempi! Pertanto i Biscegliesi per identificarlo, erano soliti dire "sceim ad accattò r' scarp da cur che venn l' Send e r Madunn" che tradotto in italiano significa "andiamo a comprare le scarpe da quello che vende i Santi e le Madonne".

Il viaggio di nonno Nunzio è andato avanti con suo figlio Domenico, per tutti Mimì Santamadonna, artefice della prima vera evoluzione del proprio lavoro con la nascita della boutique storica SANTAMADONNA 1891 a Bisceglie in via Ottavio Tupputi.

Da 40 anni continuo quel viaggio insieme a Licia, mia preziosa compagna di lavoro e di vita, ed alle mie figlie Giogi e Peppa.
